When and where is the 2018 Annual Session being held?

May 4-8, 2018 | Walter E Washington Convention Center | Washington, D.C.

Which airport should I select to fly into Washington DC?

Is there Parking at Walter E Washington Convention Center?

There is public parking at the Walter E Washington Convention Center.  For detailed information, click here.

Attendees that require mobile assistance in the city can pre-arrange.

Friday, May 4 – Monday May 7, 7am-10am & 3pm-6pm daily and on Tuesday May 8, 7am-2:30pm

When will Registration open?

Registration will open Monday, October 2nd at 8a.m. Central Time and can be accessed online at  https://www.aaoinfo.org/meetings/2018-annual-session.  The deadline to receive the early registration fees is April 6th @ 11:59pm Central Time.

NOTE: there is a 20% discount for all orthodontic staff (F1, F2 & F3 registration categories) when 4 or more from the same practice register.

When will Registration be open onsite?

Thursday, May 3 11am-5pm

Badge Reprint Fee: 
The AAO will allow one free re-print onsite, then $50 per re-print; only one re-print per day.  This applies to ALL – doctors, staff, spouse/guest, exhibitors

Who can get a Certificate of Attendance?

All registration categories except Guests/Spouses/Children, Retired Members and Exhibitors will be able to print a certificate of attendance (one per registration record) beginning Saturday, May 5 at 12pm, at the express registration counters.

What are the guidelines for Cancellations / Refunds?

Cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing and emailed to sdvorak@aaortho.org or faxed to 800-747-2513 no later than June 7, 2018. A $50 cancellation fee will be applied for any full conference registrations that are cancelled beginning Wednesday, May 9 and up to 30 days after the meeting (June 7, 2018). Cancellations received prior to May 9 will not be subject to the $50 cancellation fee.  Cancellations received after June 7, 2018 will not be approved.

Where can information on Housing be found?

Housing opens Monday, October 2, 2017; the link to book housing will be included in the Registration confirmation email.

Where can information for Restaurants be found?

There is an information desk located in the Grand Lobby of the convention center.  Here you can get assistance with restaurant reservations, sight-seeing, etc.  You can also visit Washington DC Visitors.

Where can information on Child Care be found?

Information will be available at https://www.aaoinfo.org/meetings/2018-annual-session beginning mid-December.

Will there be food / beverages available?

There will be food kiosks located in the Exhibit Hall and various kiosks throughout the convention center.

Where will the Member Resources booths be located?

Walter E Washington Convention Center, L Street Bridge on Level 2 and Concourse Level

Education

Will there be somewhere to manage CE credits?

CE can be managed through the AAO mobile app or CE Manager at https://www.aaoinfo.org/ce-manager.

For help with logging into the CE Manager, you can visit the AAO Website & AAO App booth, located at the WEWCC, Concourse A, Concourse Level.

Will there be any post-programs for doctors?

No.  There will not be any post-programs in conjunction with this Annual Session.

Where will the Doctor Lectures be held?

WEWCC – Level 2 and Level 3.

Where will the Staff Lectures be held?

WEWCC – Street Level.

When and where is the New Orthodontists/Residents Conference being held?

Where can I find information about Oral Research, Table Clinics , and E- Posters?

What is the deadline for Oral Research, E-Posters and Table Clinics submission?

The deadline to apply online for 2018 Oral Research, E-Poster or Table Clinics is Oct. 15, 2017 at 6pm EDT.

Where will the e-Posters / Table Clinics be held?

e-Posters will be located in the Exhibit Hall.

Table clinics will be in Marriott Marquis, Liberty Salons I-M, Level 4

Where can I find information about Charley Schultz?

The information will be available on the Annual Session page at https://www.aaoinfo.org/meetings/2018-annual-session#extra_tab_1.

The application will be live December 2017 with a submission deadline of February 15, 2018 at 6pm EDT.

Where can I purchase additional event tickets?

Additional tickets can be added to existing registrations by using the online Registration Resource Center.

Onsite, tickets can be purchased at Registration, located at Walter E Washington Convention Center, Grand Lobby – East Salon, Street Level.

Where will the Featured Speakers Lectures be held?

Walter E Washington Convention Center, Saturday – Ballroom C, Level 3; Sunday – Ballroom A, Level 3.

When and where will the Opening Ceremonies be held?

Saturday, May 5, 2018 | Time 5pm-7pm | Walter E Washington Convention Center, Hall D, Level 2.

Featured entertainment – Kristin Chenoweth; Children ages 3 and under do not require a ticket.

There will be snacks and drinks available for purchase.

When and where is the International Reception being held?

Saturday, May 5, 2018 | 8pm –10pm | National Museum of Women in the Arts.

Ticket includes food and beverages.  Drink tickets are not required.

When and where are the Alumni Receptions being held?

Saturday, May 5, 2018 | 7:30pm-9pm | Marriott Marquis Washington DC.

When and where will the Excellence in Orthodontics Luncheon be held?
